Liverpool -star Luis Diaz has left for another two years to his contract to Anfield – but is confronted with uncertainty about his future in the midst of a possible transfer to Barcelona in the summer
Luis Diaz's chances of transfer to Barcelona from Liverpool seem to have risen this summer. De la Liga Giants have seen that head coach Hansi Flick decides that the Reds star does not fit the profile of the player he wants in the club.
The Colombian international is stubbornly connected to Camp Nou, making it uncertain whether he will be offered a new deal by the Anfield side. Diaz has left for two years to his contract, but fresh conditions have not been published, because Liverpool tries to deal with Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mo Salah's fake deals this summer.
Flick now prefers to build a young team and prefer to draw Athletic Club's Nico Williams or breathlawman from Atalanta, by Marca, although an attempt to land is not certain. Diaz, 28, may have also confronted another problem.
Liverpool would like £ 63 million to let go of the winger in the coming months. It is not compensation that would be easily covered by the Catalan side that has passed and struggles financial difficulties in recent times to stay in accordance with the La Liga rules.
Although it has long been suggested that Diaz would be open for moving to Barcelona, the Colombian also praises this term over the boss Arne Slot. The wing player, who has shown nine goals and six assists in 28 Premier League performances this season, that the Dutchman has shown a agile touch in managing the team.
“He is known exactly how to manage the group and every single player he has in the team,” Diaz said earlier this year, “because it cannot be easy for a coach when he has two or three excellent alternatives for every position on the field to take decisions about who play and who leave.
“It is not an easy task, but he did it and he has also given faith to every player in his team.”
This summer, Liverpool's last chance could see Diaz before he saw a decrease in his value. In addition to the pull -out trio this period, however, Liverpool has more declining contracts on the horizon.
Ibrahima Konate, Andy Robertson and Caoimhin Kelleher will all enter the last 12 months of their deals at the end of the season. Scotland International Robertson enters the last phases of his career, while goalkeeper Kelleher is expected to leave the club.
However, the Konate deal can be the most problematic. The Frenchman revealed in January that he had received an offer form, but hinted that he was not about to sign his extension.
After confirming conversations, the central defender said that it was 'another conversation' or he almost secured his future. “I think I am really focused on what is happening now,” he said. “We will see what will happen.”
