Liverpool -midfielder Ryan Gravenberch enjoyed a much better second season in Anfield, but the Dutchman's agent has suggested that he wants to sign for Real Madrid.
The Liverpool -star Ryan Gravenberch agent spoke to Real Madrid and claims: “We would like it if he plays for them.” Gravenberch, 22, has been an essential gear in the side of Arne Slot who seems to be sure to lift the Premier League title.
After a difficult first year under Jurgen Klopp, the midfielder made himself one of the first names on the team schedule. The failure of Liverpool to sign the real Sociedad -midfielder Martin Zubimendi last summer left Lock without a recognized No. 6 and he turned to Gravenberch.
Dutch International, who came to Liverpool from Bayern Munich in 2023 for £ 34.2 million, has a successful collaboration with Alexis Mac Allister on the basis of the midfield of the Reds. Gravenberch has made 43 performances in all competitions and has not missed any competition match.
But comments from his Spanish agent, Jose Fortes, have questioned his future in the long term at Anfield. Fortes said Marca: “He is good enough for Real Madrid. We would like him to play for them, but Liverpool would ask for a lot of money. I know they have kept an eye on him, but now it is impossible.”
Those comments suggest that a movement is unlikely this summer, with Real already because of the signing of one Liverpool player in Trent Alexander-Arnold. But given the current midfield options of Madrid and the fact that club legend Luka Modric will be 40 in September, it would be no surprise to see them go for Gravenberch in 2026.
The 22-year-old, however, enjoys his football in Liverpool and 'loves' working with lock. Earlier this month, Gravenberch spoke with Liverpool's MatchDay program: “Of course last year was a major adjustment for me, transferring clubs and settled in a new country.
