Liverpool icon Mohamed Salah was named the striking performer of the Premier League at the inaugural Sofascore player of the season prizes.
The Egyptian attacker has concluded a sensational 2024-25 campaign with a 7.78 Sofascore rating, with 29 goals and 18 assists in 38 games to dismiss Liverpool to the Premier League title.
The ceremony, held in Zadar, Croatia, during the Sunset Sports Festival and broadcast on CBS, recognized the top performers in Europe's leading competitions.
In contrast to traditional awards, the winners were chosen purely on the statistical assessments of Sofascore, built on every pass, goal, tackle and errors during the season.
Barcelona wing player Raphinha enjoyed a double triumph and took both the La Liga price and the UEFA Champions League Award.
The Brazilian inspired Barca on the Spanish title with 18 goals and nine assists in 36 games, as well as the relief of Europe with 13 goals and eight assists in 14 UCL games while the side of Hansi reached the semi-final.
In Germany, Joshua Kimmich from Bayern Munich led the lead with a 7.91 rating, while Mattia ZACCAGNI (7.34) from Lazio above Serie A and Paris Saint-Germain's Achrermain's Achrermain Hakimi (7.76) obtained Ligue 1 Honors.
Real Madrid icon Luka Modric, who moved to AC Milan this summer, received Sofascore's very first founding legend Award, who celebrated its lifespan and influence for more than two decades at the top of the sport.
The show was organized by Kate Scott and Peter Schmeichel, with contributions from Jamie Carragher, Micah Richards and Alessandro del Piero.
Among those present were Dimitar Berbatov, UFC champion Stipe Miocic and the World Cup finalist of Croatia Sime Vrsaljko.
Billboards with the winners were also unveiled in cities such as Liverpool, Barcelona and Munich, so that fans throughout Europe could see their heroes of the stage celebrated.
Salah's Sofascore success comes after he was also mentioned as the official Premier League player of the season.
The 33-year-old became the fifth player who won the prize twice in the footsteps of Thierry Henry, Cristiano Ronaldo, Nemanja Vidic and Kevin De Bruyne.
Salah also won the 2024-25 edition of the PFA player of the year and the football player of the football writers of the year.
