Mo Salah sank on his knees, kissed the grass and wailed in another glorious night in Anfield.
Salah scored his 26th goal of the penalty spot season to send Liverpool to Wembley and the chance of more history in the Carabao Cup. Liverpool has already won the trophy ten times a record and now they are looking for more when they go with Newcastle with Newcastle on 16 March.
But it is also a chance of more silverware for Salah, since Liverpool chases glory on four fronts with their Egyptian king in the form of his life. Salah, 32, cherishes these moments because his contract runs down and yet it seems to have only focused more on winning as much as possible.
It is hard to believe that this will be his last season in Anfield because he is irreplaceable. But Salah is determined to make the best of it in the title race, Carabao Cup, FA Cup and Champions League. It would be easy to assume that the Everton game – the Liverpool game on the rest of their title challenges – is their most important. And it is probably. You almost had to feel sorry for Tottenham because Liverpool sometimes played with the men of Ange Postecoglou.

In all honesty towards Postecoglou, they have a paralyzing injury list, a patched defense with new £ 20.8 million that Kevin Danso makes that makes his debut in the middle of half and it will not be a game that he wants to remember. Neither Signing Mathys Tel, also because he made his debut as a replacement.
Tottenham was overwhelmed and Salah and Co will stop. Slot has worked wonders since taking the lead and they are just so consistent and above all others in the Premier League and probably Europe. Tottenham had the temerity to hit the woodwork through son Heung-Min before Liverpool got a fourth. Alexis Mac Allister put a corner around and there was the majestic Van Dijk to rise above everyone to score and complete the routes.
