Liverpool transfer news: Trent Alexander-Arnold deal ‘almost complete’ amid Anthony Gordon claim

Liverpool are currently flying high in the Premier League.

The Reds dismantled West Ham on Sunday as soon-to-be out-of-contract Mohamed Salah shone at the London Stadium. The win moved Liverpool eight points clear at the top of the table with a game in hand.

And while Arne Slot's side are now firm favorites to claim the trophy in May, they may still need some help to get over the line. The January transfer window opens in a few days and things could be on the agenda for Liverpool.

There are also some important decisions to be made when it comes to the members of their team. Check out all the latest Liverpool transfer rumors below:

It looks like Trent Alexander-Arnold will don the white of Real Madrid next season, if reports from Spain are to be believed. The Spanish giants are targeting him as he approaches the final six months of his spell.

They were keen to sign him in January after Dani Carvajal suffered a long-term injury. But it appears the terms of the deal have already been finalized.

According to AS, Alexander-Arnold's move to the Bernabeu is 'almost complete'. He will sign a deal to move to Spain at the end of his contract, but a formal announcement will be delayed out of respect for Liverpool.

Former Liverpool goalkeeper Anthony Gordon has vowed to win a trophy for Newcastle before considering leaving St James' Park. Speaking to The Chronicle, he said: “I have a long contract here and I intend to end it.

“I have no plans to leave. I'm here to win a trophy. I have a lot of goals ahead of me before I think about anything else.

“The 'project' doesn't really mean much to us, we all want to win now, people keep talking about the 'project' from outside because of the great progress the club has made, but that doesn't really mean much. for us. We're trying to win now. We are now trying to win cups.”

It's fair to say that things haven't worked out for Federico Chiesa at Liverpool yet, and it looks like he could already have a way out. According to CalcioMercato, Napoli is interested in signing him and a transfer has already been carefully worked on.

It is suggested that Napoli director Giovanni Manna has already contacted Chiesa's agent Fali Ramadani to inquire about his services. Liverpool are reportedly willing to loan the Italian out in a bid to build up his fitness.

Chiesa only joined the Reds from Juventus in the summer. Since then, he has played just four games in an injury-affected season.
