The January transfer window is just a matter of weeks from opening – and Liverpool could be busy.
The Reds are in the middle of a battle for their Premier League title, while also playing in the Champions League and Carabao Cup. With the FA Cup also starting next month, some signings could be useful.
A number of names have already been linked with a move to Anfield in the coming month. Meanwhile, some current Liverpool stars could be on their way out.
Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk all have six months left on their contracts, so decisions on their futures could be made quickly. Check out all the latest rumors and deals below:
Mohamed Salah's former teammate believes the Egyptian is sending a strong message to Liverpool chiefs with his current performances. Mohamed Aboutrika, who has played with the forward on the international stage, told beIN Sports via teamTALK: “Regardless of what was said about the contract, he speaks with his feet.
“I always prefer footballers to speak with their feet rather than their tongues. Let others speak for you. Your performance and numbers – every time there are new records – speak for you. So I think he is putting more pressure on Liverpool management and owners to extend his contract.”
Juventus goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio has rejected a move to Liverpool this summer, according to his agent. As quoted by Tuttosport, Carlo Alberto Belloni said: “We said no to Liverpool in the summer to join the Juventus project.
“He works hard to continuously improve. He has set up a gym at home so he can train on his days off. He has an incredible mentality and it is his desire to be part of Juventus that rewrites history and wins important trophies .”
Di Gregorio was at Monza prior to his move to Juventus. Liverpool have since turned to alternatives after completing a deal to sign Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia, the Georgian returning to the club on loan.
Fulham star Antonee Robinson has hinted he could be on his way to Anfield after starring against Liverpool. The American defender provided two assists in the 2-2 draw this weekend.
Robinson took to Instagram after the result, writing “one more point on the board.” And fans replied with “Anfield suits you” and “Sign for us fella”, both messages appreciated by the Fulham star.
Robinson has been with Fulham since joining from Wigan in 2020. His contract still runs for three and a half years.
