The Merseyside police say that a man was held after a car collided with 'a number of pedestrians' during the Premier League trophy parade of Liverpool.
“We are currently dealing with reports from an RTC (road fabric collision) in the Liverpool city center,” said Merseyside's police in a statement.
“We were contacted today, Monday 26 May, just after 6 p.m., after reports a car had collided with a number of pedestrians on Water Street. The car stopped on the spot and a man was held.”
Liverpool sealed the title last month to save with four more games and ended the season with a 10 -point lead over the second placed arsenal.
They lifted the trophy after their 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace in Anfield on Sunday.
During the celebrations earlier on Monday, the players and the staff waved to the crowd from an open-top bus with the words' of us. Again.' Decorated on the side, while red torches were lit along the route, run from Allerton Maze to Blundell Street.
