Few if any clubs are as fickle as Real Madrid, and although French midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni was in a position to take charge of their midfield last summer, it appears he could leave the club next summer. Tchouameni has noticed a decline in his performances in midfield of late.
Manager Carlo Ancelotti has backed Tchouameni as one of the best in the world in his position, but a series of disappointing performances and a spate of injuries at the back have given him an easy excuse to deploy Tchouameni more often as a centre-back. Multiple reports in the Spanish capital now say he could be sacrificed to raise funds in the summer, with few convinced he can command midfield in the future.
Tchouameni has been linked with a move to the Premier League for some time, especially to Liverpool, who pursued him when he was at AS Monaco. Fichajes.net say Liverpool have offered to put up €50 million for the 24-year-old, but also mention Manchester City as competition for his signature.
