Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah was one of the six players nominated for the Professional Footballers' Association Men's Player of the Year Award on Friday.
The 33-year-old played a key role last season in Liverpool's Premier League title Triumph with 29 goals and 18 assists.
The Egypt star was elected by the football writers' association as football player of the year – which secured almost 90% of the voices, which marks the biggest winning margin this century – and is the favorite favorite to land the PFA prize.
Salah is accompanied by the shortlist by Liverpool teammate Alexis Mac Allister, Arsenal's Declan Rice, Cole Palmer from Chelsea, Newcastle -striker Alexander Isak and Manchester United -midfielder Bruno Fernandes.
Palmer, who won the PFA Young Player of the Year Award before 2023/24, was a surprising choice for the list, given his struggles for Chelsea last season.
Rice played in midfield for Arsenal and achieved a career-high nine goals and added 10 assists in 52 performances in all competitions.
Sweden striker Isak scored 23 goals for Newcastle while they qualified for the Champions League and ended a 56-year-old trophy-dried by winning the League Cup.
Fernandes was one of the few clear spots of United in the worst top campaign of the club since 1973/74, with eight competition goals and 10 assists.
This year's award ceremony will be held in Manchester on 19 August.
