Liverpool’s next signing accidentally confirmed off the back of Wirtz’s arrival

Liverpool has so far been one of the busiest clubs in the transfer window, and their next expected signature was apparently confirmed rather early by Gary Lineker on his podcast

Gary Lineker went a little early and claimed that Liverpool has already completed the signing of Bournemouth -defender Milos Kerkez, even though the club did not yet make announcements. The Hungarian defender looks completely for a move to Anfield.

Almost a year after completing the signing of Federico Chiesa in his first transfer window, Arne Slot has so far supervised spectacular expenses in June. Bayer Leverkusen Defender Jeremie Frimpong has since been followed by Florian Wirtz to Merseyside in a British record deal with a value of a maximum of £ 116 million.

The arrival of the German international in Liverpool was officially confirmed on Friday evening by the club after weeks of negotiations. And it is made clear that Kerkez also focuses on Liverpool, in a deal that will be worth around £ 40 million.

The left back is expected to undergo a medical next week. Lineker, however, jumped on the gun while he spoke on his podcast with regard to the state of Kerkez.

On the episode of the rest of Sunday is football, Lineker said: “Liverpool has so far been impressive with the signing sessions they have done.

“They have just completed Florian Wirtz for £ 116 million, that is a lot of dough, from Bayer Leverkusen, but he is a wonderfully talented player.

“Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth for about £ 40 million. They join Jeremie Frimpong, who drew a few weeks ago, all worth a little less than £ 200 million.”

Although the chances suggest that the move from Kerkez to Liverpool is as good as done, many transfers collapsed into the last phases in the past. If the move from Kerkez to Anfield even fell through with another medical medical, this would not be the first time that this happened to the Reds.

In the summer of 2018, Liverpool -Fans crestfallen were left when the £ 58.5 million arrival of Lyon midfielder Nabil Fekir at the last minute. A fee had been agreed for the Frenchman and the MerseSiders had even agreed personal conditions with the midfielder, who was seen as the long -term replacement for Philippe Coutinho.

A knee problem that is spotted in the medical, however, resulted in the movement. However, that has been disputed, since Fekir has previously spoken about the strange Saga, claiming that he was passed on his medical and that he did not understand why the move could not be completed.

Liverpool supporters will certainly hope that Lineker's confident statement has not hunted Kerkez, who contributed two goals and six assists in 38 Premier League performances from Left-Back last season.

His arrival would take the expenditure of Liverpool north of the £ 200 million costs if goalkeeper Giorgi Mhamardashvili is included in the figures of this year, which is said to be the case, despite a deal that was agreed with Valencia last summer.

It is also assumed that the Reds are not finished close by with their activity in the summer transfer window.

They are also linked to huge movements for Crystal Palace Central Defender Marc Guehi and Newcastle United Vooruit Alexander Isak. Reports on the side of the Telegraph Claims Slot would like to sign the last, who contributed 23 Premier League goals and six assists in 34 performances last season.
