Liverpool is ready to continue their summer spending with a dive for Marc Guehi – if Crystal Palace is willing to play the ball and sell their star defender for less than £ 50 million.
The Reds spent almost £ 300 million as soon as a deal for Hugo Ekitike was signed later this week. The Frenchman will do himself at Jeremie Frimpong, Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez through Anfield at Anfield while the Premier League champions offer to strengthen their team.
Their interest in Guehi is well documented and the negotiating position of Palace is not as strong as it was once with the English star now in the last year of his contract.
However, rival interest in the services of the Center Back van Tottenham can be a problem for Liverpool.
Spurs have cash to spend money and this season could also offer Guehi Champions League football.
And although Liverpool can be seen as a more attractive option for Guehi, given their exploits in the Premier League previous term, the Reds are not willing to pay the opportunities after splashing some serious money already this summer.
Mirror Football outlined Monday that Liverpool will move to Guehi if they think he is feasible for less than the £ 50 million palace, is likely to demand.
But if Tottenham is willing to meet the price tag, that would probably give them the lead in the race for the Guehi signature.

This summer is perhaps the last chance of Palace to sell Guehi if he refuses to sign a contract extension. As an alternative, the player could choose to lower his deal and go on a free transfer next summer.
In addition to a central defender, Liverpool is likely to try to sign another attacker if Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz leave before the Transfer Deadline of 1 September.
NUNEZ is expected to continue and Liverpool is happy to sell after the poor 2024-25 campaign of the Uruguay International, especially now that a deal for Ekitike has been agreed.
It is a different story with Diaz: Liverpool wants him to stay, but the Colombia star is supposed to have told the club that he wants to move this summer for a new challenge. Bayern Munich is expected to continue to chase Diaz after he has already rejected an offer for his services.
