Logan Paul drops Conor McGregor Easter egg in first appearance after UFC legend claimed he’s agreed to boxing match

Logan Paul paid tribute to one of Conor McGregor's signature quotes during a recent WWE promo.

Logan Paul's first public appearance since Conor McGregor fight talks were revealed included a nod to the UFC superstar.

Paul, who has not appeared in the boxing ring since a disqualification win over Dillon Danis last year, has been linked with a possible clash with McGregor in recent days. This after McGregor approached X to claim he was in preliminary talks to face Paul at an upcoming boxing exhibition in India.

Although nothing is official at the time of writing, that hasn't stopped speculation about a possible boxing match between Paul and McGregor. McGregor is also still signed to the UFC, which makes a potential exhibition all the more complicated.

Regardless, Paul seemed to acknowledge in a recent social media post that he is in talks with McGregor's team. He will also return to WWE on January 6 for Monday Night Raw.

While promoting his upcoming WWE return at a media event, Paul dropped a quote from McGregor while addressing the fans in attendance.

“If you got something I want, I'll take it… 'Logan Paul is a bully.' Yes! I'm the bully! And the WWE is my playground!” said Paul. “So look, I'm not here to participate, I'm here to take over. Your approval means nothing to me. Whether you love me or hate me, I don't care because you're still watching.

At the time of writing, McGregor has not responded to Paul using any of his signature lines. In addition to his potential return to boxing, he is also making a comeback in MMA after his previously scheduled UFC 303 fight was canceled after he suffered a toe injury.

After the Paul vs. McGregor match was first teased on social media, an all-too-early analysis of how the fight could play out quickly emerged. In a fight simulation, the matchup ended with a one-punch knockout in the first round.

When McGregor returns to the ring, it will be his first boxing appearance since losing to Boxing Hall Famer Floyd Mayweather Jr. in 2017 in the infamous 'money fight'. Since the Mayweather clash, he is 1-3 inside the UFC Octagon, including losses to Dustin Poirier and Khabib Nurmagomedov.

McGregor was a target of Logan's brother, Jake, early in his boxing career. While McGregor seemed to potentially enjoy himself against Jake, fight talks never formally came to fruition, although that could change from the Logan fight.
