While the Pay-per-View era of the UFC is coming to an end, Conor McGregor's claim seems to be put in the PPV 'King' of the sport to be put in stone.
The many of the Irishman outside the cage contacts never seemed to stop his draw at the cash register, with huge crowds who came to watch him live and on TV. In fact, the entire top five list for most purchased events in the history of UFC has a McGregor headliner.
Now, with Dana White who announces that the promotion will throw away the model and place all their events on Paramount+ from next year.
Conor McGregor explains itself UFC Pay-per-View King
A man who would like to see fans respond to the latest UFC news is Conor McGregor. The Irishman is a return to action next summer in the White House and orders monstrous payouts because of his ability to properly draw in the millions on Pay-per-View apparently, regardless of his results.
He kept his cards relatively close to his chest in the immediate aftermath of the news, but went to Instagram to share his stunning statistics with a few short captions. He wrote 'Long Live the Irish King', about one message and 'All McGregor' above the other.
The statistics he shared are remarkable, with an exclusive McGregor list for the top five largest UFC Pay-per-View events. UFC 229 Against Khabib Nurmagomedov has a top spot with 2.4 million, while his last fight on UFC 264 against Dustin Poirier landed at number two.
In third place is his second fight with Poirier on UFC 257 with 1.6 million purchases during COVID time, while only two victories are on the list on UFC 202 and UFC 246 against Nate Diaz and Donald Cerrone and 2016 and 2020 respectively.
The list does not even contain its boxing match with Floyd Mayweather, the second highest sales of all time at 4.3 million purchases.
Dana White has announced that UFC is leaving Pay-per-View today
Dana White today confirmed that the UFC goes to Paramount+ and CBS from 2026 without a pay-per-view element. All 43 events, including 13 numbered shows and 30 fighting evenings, will be available as part of the subscription service.
“This historic deal with Paramount and CBS is incredible for UFC fans and our athletes,” White said in a statement on social media.

“For the first time, fans in the US have access to all UFC content without a pay per-view model, making it more affordable and accessible to view the biggest fights on a huge platform.
“This deal places UFC under the largest sports in the world. The exposure offered by the Paramount and CBS networks under this new structure is a huge victory for our athletes and everyone who watches and loves this sport.”
