Lookman slammed by his manager as ‘one of the worst penalty takers I’ve seen’

Highola Lookman was brutally censored by his own manager after missing a penalty for Atalanta on Tuesday evening when they taught the Champions League.

The striker scored within 42 seconds after he was introduced on his return from an injury in the second half, but could not reverse the slide.

After losing 2-1 in Belgium, Atalanta lost 3-1 to club bridges in the night to end a damn evening for Italian football, with AC Milan also left for Feyenoord.

In the 61st minute, LOOKMAN had the opportunity to get a different goal back from the penalty spot.

The former goalkeeper of Liverpool Simon Mignolet, however, saved his efforts, which was hit well but fairly centrally. At full-time, Atalanta boss Gian Piero Gasperini released a surprisingly hard deposition.

“Breathola Lookman is one of the worst criminal cases I've ever seen,” said the experienced manager.

'He wanted to take the penalty after scoring a goal, he took the ball available despite (Mateo) Retegui and (Charles) the Keteleare to take it … I didn't like what lookman did.

“Lookman didn't have to take the punishment. Even in the training he does not have a good score of the place. '

Fulham fans with a decent memory can be inclined to agree with Gasperini. In November 2020, the attacker had the chance to be against West Ham in the 98th minute, but covered a weak pancake in the hands of Lukasz Fabianski, later admitted his destruction.

Retegui is the regular penalty contractor of Atalanta, who has converted two of his three spotkicks in the Serie A this campaign A, but Lookman has also taken and scored one.

He scored a hat trick in the Euroopa League Final Triumph of last season against Bayer Leverkusen and is generally recognized as one of the smartest sparks in the team.

The Nigerian had missed their last four games because of a knee injury, but was caused during the break and scored within 42 seconds to give the Italians a glimmer of hope.

He has an excellent season for La Dea, scored 15 goals and scored seven assists.

Despite a disappointment of the Champions League, they are a scream for the Serie A title, third and five points behind Napoli.

Their defeat by Bruges was marred by another bizarre moment when Captain Rafael Toloi was sent away after trying to throw the ball at his opponent, just to slip over.

In the last moment of the Champions League collision of his party with Club Brugge – who won the Belgian side 5-2 on aggregated – the defender with Maxim de Cuyper clashed.

In a heating moment, Toloi tried to throw the ball to the Bruges defender, who had turned his back, but instead fell when the ball slipped out of his grip.

He quickly got up again and stormed on the Cuyper, walked him from behind before bundling both himself and the Bruges player on the floor.

Referee Felix Zwayer quickly waved a red card for the Atalanta skipper, who had to be stopped by teammates while protesting with the civil servant.

The incident took place in the last moments of the game, already arranged with the score, which means that his resignation had little effect on the outcome of the game.
