James Maddison admits that he is suffering from the “lowest low I have ever had” after having undergone an operation with a horror -ACL injury.
The Tottenham star is excluded for the most of the new season after having had the setback last week.
Maddison went into pain in a friendly Newcastle before he was stretched off the field.
He was later seen those stools hop in caring scenes.
But the worst news would come, with scans that ultimately confirm a serious injury to his front cruciate ligament.
Maddison has since undergone surgery and will be put aside for the next six to nine months.
It leaves its start of life under the new Spurs -Baas Thomas Frank in Tatters, with Maddison missing the Super Cup final against PSG on Wednesday.
The club is already looking for a replacement in Ebereechi Eze of Crystal Palace.
While a place in the team of England for next summer's World Cup now seems a huge challenge for the Seven-Cap game maker.
Now Maddison has shared a heartbreaking update with followers from his hospital bed.

Posing with his three children – Leo, 4, and twins Delilah and Roma, both 2 – Maddison lifted the lid on his unbearable setback.
And he thanked his children and partner Kennedy Alexa for helping seeing light at the end of the tunnel.
Maddison said to fans: “Lowest layer I have ever had. Heart broken about the fact that this injury has taken place in my career at the moment.
“With the Super Cup tomorrow, the Premier League season on the Horizon, the exciting Champions League campaign and it is a world year for England, it all feels very cruel, but the ACL weder -building operation was successful.
“For all my good friends and family, your support and love definitely means everything to me.
“To those of you who have done everything to report on social media platforms to support me and my recovery, even if we don't know each other personally, I appreciate you all more than you'll ever know, so thanks.
“And finally to those of you who doubt, hate and spot. You really motivate me to levels that I didn't know I had in me again, thank you. See you all on the other side.”
Maddison received a lot of support, with Jamie Carragher a Hartemoji placed in response.
