Lucas Hernandez in, Presnel Kimpembe out – PSG announce Champions League squad

Paris Saint-Germain has announced its squad for Tuesday evening's UEFA Champions League match against RB Salzburg.

Presnel Kimpembe is absent again. There is a situation that is now beginning to attract attention. The Frenchman has been out of action since February 2023 after suffering an Achilles tendon injury that required two operations. However, Kimpembe has now been given the green light to resume his playing career. He was included in the squad for the match against Bayern Munich a fortnight ago, but has not been included in a squad since. Ousmane Dembélé, who was sent off in that defeat in Bavaria, is suspended and therefore absent from the PSG selection that travels to Salzburg today.

Lucas Hernandez, who returned to first-team training last week after surgery for a knee injury in May, has been included in the PSG squad.

Goalkeepers: Gianluigi Donnarumma, Arnau Tenas, Matvei Safonov

Defenders: Nuno Mendes, Lucas Beraldo, Lucas Hernandez, Milan Skriniar, Marquinhos, Willian Pacho, Achrak Hakimi, Yoram Zague

Midfielders: Fabián Ruiz, Marco Asensio, Désiré Doué, Vitinha, Lee Kang-in, Warren Zaire-Emery, João Neves

Forwards: Bradley Barcola, Randal Kolo Muani, Ibrahim Mbaye, Gonçalo Ramos
