The future of Luis Diaz doubts in Liverpool, despite the fact that the club does not declare him for sale, because conversations continue with a new deal at Anfield despite the interest of Barcelona and Bayern Munich
Liverpool -star Luis Diaz has confirmed that he will continue to talk to the club during his future. The Colombia International is constantly connected to the side and now has two years at the Reman of his contract in Anfield.
Bayern Munich and Barcelona are both interested in the attacker, but Liverpool has so far determined that the 28-year-old is not for sale. Earlier in the summer it was said that Bayern director of Sport Max Eberl held an approach and was told by the Premier League champions that the club will not enter into discussions for Diaz.
But speculation about potential movements has not stopped. And despite the score of 17 goals last year when Liverpool won the title in the first season of Arne Slot with the club, Diaz still has to commit to a future with the Reds.
The former Porto star is also in no hurry to give something away. Diaz confirmed that conversations were underway with the hierarchy of the club, but stopped revealing every tendency he has.
“We don't know yet,” he told Win Sports when he was asked where his future could be. “Nothing, nothing (to say).
“We talk to management there, we are calm where I am. So nothing (to say), we are talking about things.”
The comment is the last in a long series of quotes that have come from Diaz in recent weeks. The Premier League winner was recently brought to the task by Colombian influencer Mauricio Gomez in his home country
“We are there, negotiating,” Diaz offered that opportunity. “We will see what can be achieved, for us and for the club. We will try to do our best and make the best decision.”
When asked about the interest of Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr, he added: “We are negotiating, talking to the club, with Liverpool, with everyone approaching us. But I am very calm where I am, you know, very happy. Try to make the best decision now.”
Diaz has admitted that his team had contact with potential clubs, but has made it clear that he is happy to continue his time with Liverpool – apparently with or without a new deal. “We are currently in contact with Liverpool, because we are talking to clubs, and that is normally the opening of the transfer market. We try to arrange what is best for us,” he said.
“I am very happy in Liverpool, I always said that,” Diaz added. “They welcomed me very well from the first day. If they give us a good innovation or I will stay there for two years, I will be happy. Now it's up to them.”
