Luis Diaz has arrived in Germany to undergo a medical prior to his move to Bayern Munich.
The Colombian International, 28, will join the Bundesliga champions of Vincent Kompany after Liverpool had accepted their latest offer worth £ 65.5 million including add-ons.
Diaz left the training camp for the Liverpool season in Japan on Monday and was depicted this morning with his suitcase in Bavaria, with the winger being expected to undergo a medical soon.
Yesterday morning he said goodbye to his teammates, three and a half years after he switched the switch to Porto's Premier League. Diaz appeared 148 performances during his time at Anfield and scored 41 goals.
It is thought that he first told Liverpool bosses about his wish to leave last summer, but the club held.
They later made two separate attempts to match a contract extension with the left wing, but could not convince Diaz because of a gap between offers and requirements.
Both Barcelona and Bayern Munich have shown interest in the Colombians this summer, but after signing Marcus Rashford, the Catalan giants left the race for his signature.
Bayern initially merged with an offer worth around £ 58.5 million that was rejected before Liverpool accepted the second offer of the German champions of £ 65.5 million including add-ons.
On Saturday, manager Arne Slot confirmed that Diaz was omitted from the team to get AC Milan to AC Milan because of speculation around his future, while Darwin Nunez missed due to an injury.
“One of the positions we didn't have was no. 9,” Slot LFC TV said after the 4-2 defeat.
'We had one, Hugo [Ekitike]But he wasn't ready to play yet. Darwin was injured. Lucho [Luis Diaz] Couldn't play so well. In the situation of Lucho it was, yes [the reason why he was left out].
'There have been many rumors around him lately and I cannot comment on that. He trains well with us, but we have now decided not to play him yet.
'I am used to talking regularly with most of my players. Like I said, Lucho is really training well and we have decided that he is not playing in the games at the moment. I can't give much about that anymore. '
The output of Diaz could see Liverpool stimulate their pursuit of Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak.
The Swede is not present at the pre-season tour of the Magpies by Asia after reporting a groin injury in the midst of rumors that he left the club.
Liverpool is supposed to be interested in a move for Isak and could soon send a formal offer to the club of Eddie Howe.
After having spent only £ 12.5 million last summer, club bosses Arne Slot back with £ 270 million all this window that brings Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike, Milos Kerkez and Jeremie Frimpong.
They start their season on August 10, opposite Crystal Palace in the Community Shield in Wembley.
