Luis Enrique confirms PSG will rotate to ensure dream treble

Luis Enrique has revealed that various Paris Saint-Germain players are being equipped for their last Ligue 1 matches, prior to the final in the Coupe de France and Champions League.

The Paris side is about to see their very first Treble, after they have won the league title with six games to save.

They will compete on May 24, before their second Champions League final a week later, against Inter in Munich in the Cup final against Reims.

The men of Luis Enrique were almost to reach an undefeated season in the competition, but fell against a 3-1 defeat against Nice two weeks ago, which means that there is very little to play in their last two league matches.

Goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, Achraf Hakimi, Marquinhos, Nuno Mendes, Willian Pacho, Fabian Ruiz and Vitinha were given his free time and will not return to the training until next week.

Regarding the changes prior to Saturday's trip to Montpellier, Luis Enrique said: “We have a fixed plan that depends on playing time and travel throughout the season.

“You have to balance all of that to get into the best possible condition for both finals.

“When the final of the Champions League is over, the vast majority goes to the national teams. Every player needs a personalized plan. We have succeeded in it, but there are still the last games to achieve our goals.

“The players must arrive mentally fresh. There are many players and we manage it individually.”

Luis Enrique confirmed that Ousmane Dembele is completely fit after the attacker has arrived as a second half replacement in the semi-final victory of the Champions League on Wednesday at Arsenal.

“Ousmane Dembele is fine,” said the Spaniard. “He trained with the team today, he wanted to come.

“He had permission from the staff not to come. It is what we have considered as a sufficient rest time. But if he has to come, he is completely free to do this.”

PSG reached their second Champions League final in Midweek and Luis Enrique believes that the club has waited long enough for success in Europe's top club competition.

“If a team deserves to win, after waiting for so long, it's PSG,” he said.

'I know the club was founded in the year I was born [in 1970]. Let's hope that this connection appears to be true and we can secure the Champions League.

“The problem is that there will certainly be one team that will not succeed, but I hope we win.”
