Luis Enrique urges PSG not to be complacent against Dunkerque

Luis Enrique says that Paris Saint-Germain does not feel like complacency while making their bid for a record-expanding 16th Coupe de France title.

They are confronted on Tuesday with a second dunkerque in the semi-final and are the overwhelming favorites, whereby the Opta-Supercomputer gives them a chance of 83.7% to claim in 90 minutes.

PSG has almost packed their Ligue 1 -crown, so far undefeated and came close to winning the last weekend. Marseille lost to Reims and PSG hit Saint-Etienne 6-1, which means that they needed a draw of Saturday's other game, but they were refused, while Monaco beat Nice.

They are also still fighting in the Champions League, with a quarterfinals against Aston Villa that will appear next month.

In the Coupe de France they offer to win a fourth consecutive title, and Luis Enrique enjoys the thick and fast nature of the coming list of luminaires.

“I'm going to approach it as usual,” he said reporters. “Since last season we think in general terms and not about a single game.

“We are happy to be in a busy schedule because this means that we are involved in all competitions.

“We have never changed our way of thinking, we play in the same way, we try to improve our performance and the best way to do that is to respect our opponents.

“We want to write history in France, and we have to take on every match as a challenge. That is our goal against Dunkerque.”

This season PSG scored 119 goals in 44 games in all competitions. Ousmane Dembele is their top scorer, who has received 30 goals in 38 games, with Bradley Barcola second on the list of 18.

The side of Luis Enrique has had this period 18 different goal scorers, but the Spaniard was full of praise for Barcola, who also has 14 assists, most of everyone in the team.

“Barcola defines perfectly … He started the season with a spectacular run, and from that moment he was one of the players who understood best that when there is a player who is better placed than you, he makes a decisive pass,” said Luis Enrique.

“A decisive pass that the teammate leaves for the goalkeeper's goal is even better. We are always looking for the player who is best placed for the goal.”
