Luka Modric makes bold Ballon d’Or prediction on Kylian Mbappe

Real Madrid -Superster Kylian Mbappe is certainly the favorites to win the coveted 2025 Ballon d'Or later this year.

Mbappe has noticed since the beginning of 2025 and he starts the last two months of the season with 31 goals scored in 44 games.

A sensational individual campaign will be weighed against team success in the Ballon d'Or Race and Los Blancos are still in the title hunt for La Liga, the Copa del Rey and the UEFA Champions League.

The form of Mbappe will be central to deciding where Real Madrid ends in terms of trophy success while his own count continues to grow.

He is on track to break the record of Ivan Zamarano of 37 goals scored in a debut Real Madrid season – from in 1992/93 – and he was able to match his highest PSG marking.

Mbappe signed in Paris last season with 44 goals, as a career high, and that figure falls within his grip in Madrid.

Prior to the Crunch -Run until the end of the campaign, club captain Luka Modric – who won the Ballon d'Or in 2018 – supported Mbappe back to bring the trophy back to Madrid for the first time since Karim Benzema won in 2022.

“He is one of the best players in the world. He has the opportunity to do things that have never been seen before,” Modric told an interview with Telefoot.

“What is most impressed by Mbappe is his personality, his way of being. He is an incredible child, very modest, always willing to make jokes and help his teammates.

“He is very calm. From the outside you could say that he did not have his best season, but he scored more than 30 goals. Imagine it was his best season!

“He is one of the best players I've ever seen.

“I tell him that he must continue to win Real Madrid. I am sure he will be one of the favorites to not only win one balloon d'Or, but several.”

Modric also spoke rumors about his future and hinted that his dream is still retiring in Madrid.
