Avid Manchester United Supporter and Darts Sensation Luke Littler admitted that he would rather see his favorite Super League side Warrington Wolves win the competition than the Red Devils.
The 18-year-old was given a special honor through his hometown club, who renamed their land after him to celebrate his performance that became the youngest World Darts champion earlier this year.
Littler, who is a seasonal card holder in what is normally the Halliwell Jones Stadium, met Warrington's players in the dressing room, paraded with his Sid Waddell trophy and got an honorary.
During the rest of the competition, Littler was asked which of his favorite North West clubs he would rather win their respective competition titles. Certainly to disappoint at least fan base, the teenager chose the Rugby League side.
“Ah, that's so difficult,” he said. “I have seen the last league title of Sir Alex Ferguson, so I should say that thread wins the competition.”
Warrington has accepted the opportunity by getting a hard-fought 18-12 victory over their own Catalans Dragons in their first Super League home competition of the new season.
The same cannot be said for the Red Devils, who is currently upset in 15th place in the Premier League, with only 19 points of their first 25 games.
In anticipation of their journey to Goodison Park to face Everton, Ruben Amorim admitted that former United -Baas David Moyes is doing better to breathe new life into the Toffees than he has managed at Old Trafford.
