The defender Luke Shaw van Manchester United has suggested that there are no more “laggards” in the team as a result of the difficult approach to Ruben Amorim.
United is currently taking part in a tour through the US, where they participate in the Premier League Summer Series, while Amorim's Kant is preparing for the new campaign.
United starts the new season with a collision against Arsenal in Old Trafford in what the beginning will represent Amorim's first full season responsible for the club.
The new season offers a new opportunity for United to avenge what Amorim itself labeled a ramp season when United recorded a record low Premier League finish of the 15th, while he was also defeated in the Europa League final of the Europa League in May.
The defeat in the final meant that United ended the season empty -handed and is now preparing for only their second season without European football in 35 years.
Despite the 1-0 defeat in Bilbao, Shaw Manager Amorim defended soon after the game, and explained that the Portuguese is the right man to lead the club ahead. Asked to explain his comments during the United Training Camp in Chicago, Shaw doubled his attitude.
“I think his mentality, his requirements [show he’s the right man]”Shaw said.
“He is extremely heavy for the group. He leaves no stone undisturbed and I think there are no left behind in this group. I think everyone should put the team first. He made that very clear.
“I think he chooses players about how he thinks that he will be best for the team and that is his choice. As players, we are fully behind him and completely behind his ideas and what he wants to implement in this team. We feel a real team, especially this preseason.
“Since I have been back, the group has been so together and I think we should keep that something to make us more a family and everyone together and we all drive in the same direction.”
Although there were some lows for SHAW both personally and united and a team, Shaw believes that the Spirit in the preseason should encourage them to elevated ambitions such as winning the Premier League.
“I can't be worse than last season,” said Shaw.
“I was so low last season, so I think anything but that. I feel good and I especially think this preseason.
“It is clear that I didn't have a preseason last season, so I think it really benefits me to just be fit and to train with the team and get minutes.
“I enjoy that. Wise, I think the goal should win the Premier League.
“I know people will interrogate me because they will say that after last season, but it must be. It is not only me who thinks that. I am sure the whole team, if you ask them, they all have the same goals.
“Even the manager, I am sure he would probably not say it in the press, but we all have to have the same beliefs and ambitions. As I said, real family feels together, and we all strive for the same.”
Amorim Trimming Man Utd Squad
Since Amorim's arrival in Old Trafford, he has supervised a period of changes in the team with some who can leave this summer.
Christian Eriksen and Victor Lindelof left the club after the end of their contracts at the end of June, while Jonny Evans announced his retirement and took a role in the United Academy.
Sky Sports News has reported that Antony, Tyrell Malacia, Jadon Sancho and Alejandro Garnacho are not participating in the United tour of the US because they have given extra time by Man Utd to explore movements of the club.
Marcus Rashford, who also trained away from the main team after his return of a six-month loan say in Aston Villa this summer, has insured a loan movement to Barcelona, including an option to buy for the LaLiga side.
After the departure of Rashford, United continues to work on outputs for Sancho, Antony and Malacia – as well as Garnacho.
