Lyon set asking price for Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen target Rayan Cherki

The DNCG's decision to sanction Olympique Lyonnais with a provisional relegation has put clubs across Europe on high alert, with a number of Les Gones players believed to be on the market in the upcoming transfer window.

According to a report from Sky Sports and later confirmed by Foot Mercato, Liverpool are among the clubs eyeing Lyon's players, with the English club interested in a move for Rayan Cherki, 21. However, the French outlet writes that Liverpool are far from alone in their interests. Last season's Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen are reportedly keeping tabs on the talented Frenchman.

Despite Lyon's situation, the club will want more than the €15m they agreed to sell Cherki for this summer, when he was heavily linked with a move to Premier League side Fulham FC. Foot Mercato writes that the club's asking price will be somewhere between €30 and €35 million.
