According to L'Équipe, Olympique Lyonnais plans to retain the services of Rayan Cherki (21) during the winter transfer window despite interest from other clubs unless they receive a significant offer. The Frenchman has a contract with the Rhône club until 2026 and is a top player ahead of the opening in January.
Cherki is in the form of his career this season. After two seasons of inconsistency in the OL first team, the playmaker appears to have finally found his niche at his boyhood club. The Les Gones academy graduate has made 17 appearances, scoring five goals and registering seven assists.
Lyon would like to keep its attacking midfielder. However, as the club needs to raise funds quickly to avoid a possible relegation to Ligue 2, a sale would have to be considered in the event of an irrefutable bid. Foot Mercato understands that Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain are both interested in signing the France U21 international. OL values their academy graduate at €30 million.
