Carlos Mac Allister, father of Liverpool -star Alexis, has given an update on the future of the midfielder in Anfield.
Mac Allister, 26, has shot the last two years before the Reds since he came to Brighton for an initial £ 35 million fee in 2023, with 24 target contributions in 90 games.
This season, the Argentinian, which won the World Cup in 2022, is an integral part of the side of Arne Slot and played 30 of 31 Premier League matches while they end on the Premier League title.
Due to the good form of Mac Allister, however, he linked him to large clubs in Europe, including Real Madrid, which comes after the 26-year-old social media sent in a rag in December when he admitted that he could see himself in Spain one day.
To the question as a potential future in Laliga, Mac had answered allister: 'Yes, why not?
'It is a country that I like and I have visited it several times, and above all, because of the language and culture, it is very similar to Argentina. I would definitely like to play in Spain one day.
“But at the moment I feel very comfortable in Liverpool and I don't think about what could happen in the future.”
And his father has now spoken about those Laliga tires and gutters cold water on the rumors.
“For now I don't think so (Leaves Leaves),” he told Picado TV, an Argentinian channel. Time will learn it. Alexis is very happy where he is. He lives in Manchester, and on the block where he lives is Robertson, Gomez and four blocks away Loda (Lisandro) Martinez.
'Alexis speaks English well, understands the rules of the game and talks to people.
“I think this is the best he had, and that is why the adjustment was easier.”
Carlos, a former Boca Juniors and Argentina star who acts with the representative of Alexis, also tells his first meeting with former Liverpool -Baas Jurgen Klopp for the arrival of Mac Allister two years ago.
It came after he had shown in Brighton for the past three and a half seasons, with the first £ 35 million that it came to a release clause that looked like an absolute bargain.
“The first meeting was with me to explain what he saw in Alexis and why he wanted him,” Carlos added. 'We had a very nice conversation there.
'When we spoke in that first meeting, I didn't speak English and there was a translator who works at the club. He (sic) asked me what I saw (Liverpool) lost 5-2 to Real Madrid (in February 2023), and I told him that they had a big problem because the players have to understand that you mark the way you do it.
“The translator saw me and told me that I couldn't tell him that, and I told him he had to tell him because I would explain it to him.
“Then I told him in English and Klopp asked me what I meant. I told him to come on top of them, grab them, push them, to hug, and that you can't mark from two meters away, that's why they have admitted five goals. '
Carlos continued: 'He looked at me and told me that I was right that he would stay with that definition. Then we started building a relationship with him.
“We met again and he called Alexis to tell him that he was happy, and so much even that he publicly acknowledged what Alexis is.”
Mac Allister, who is under contract and also won 38 caps for Argentina until 2028, is back in action on Sunday when Liverpool organizes West Ham, with the Reds 11 points free from Arsenal with seven games to go.
