Maddison hits back at Keane criticism with celebration after scoring vs. Man Utd

James Maddison hit back in Roy Keane with a smart celebration after being criticized by the Pundit.

The Spurs -midfielder responded the fastest to depicting home against Manchester United after the shot of Lucas Bergvall was saved by Andre Onana.

He celebrated with his characteristic Dartsworp before he placed his finger over his lips to shun the camera.

The Shush seemed to be aimed at Keane about comments that he made this week and claimed that Maddison would not be a difference maker when he returned from an injury.

Keane said: “We saw Maddison in Tamworth, he was picked up. Tamworth is Non-League.

“People say that Maddison is the man. When is he going to get on the board? He is relegated with Leicester and he is relegated with Spurs.

“Maddison is not bad, if he's not with the darts, but let me tell you …

“If you think he's coming back and get traces in the top six, you're in Koekoek.

“He is good, he is a talented player. But if you are a player in the Spurs dressing room and Maddison's back in the team, you would not look and go 'oh Jesus – he is back today. We will be fine'.

“England has a team of 300 and he can't even get it. You're fooling yourself.”

Ian Wright hit back in Keane and showed support for Maddison and told him that he had to remain silent.

Maddison took only 13 minutes to make an impact on his return of an injury and made sure he sent a message to Keane.

Fans loved Maddison's gesture with someone who described it as a “small excavation”.

Another added: “Roy Keane threw shadow. Maddison held coupons. And he answered the call today. That celebration was personal.”

And a third wrote: “He did that celebration aimed at Keane😭:4😭😭 Maddison who is naughty.”
