ENGLAND star James Maddison has knocked £200,000 off the asking price for his country home – after buyers were put off by his initials being printed on the football pitch.
The Spurs midfielder has etched 'JM10' into the center circle of his luxury four-bed home in the Midlands – his initials and squad number.
But agents have told the maestro to lower his asking price after potential buyers were unimpressed by the reminder that Madder left Leicester in a £40million deal.
The multi-million pound home, in Nottinghamshire, features a 5G pitch with goalposts next to the heated outdoor pool and is now on the market.
And one resident said: “It's a great property if you're a football fan and want a kickabout every day, but not everyone is.
'The kind of person who has millions to spend on a house is unlikely to want a large artificial pitch, especially a personalized James Maddison pitch.
'To have that torn up and replaced would cost a lot of money, and that's apparently why the house hasn't been sold yet.
“It's a large space and could make a very nice lawn, but if you're already spending that much, I don't think you need to spend thousands more on landscaping.
'The house is still a beautiful place though and I don't think it will be long before it is snapped up by someone, especially if James continues to lower the price.
“Although there might be a Spurs fan who comes along who is happy to pay full price and leave it as it is. I think it would be quite good to play on the pitch where he honed his skills.”
The price reduction is almost the average house price of a property in the region, but only a fraction of Maddison's salary of £170,000 per week.
Described by agents as a 'beautiful Grand Designs style home', the property features a gym, bar and games room – where Maddison displayed an impressive collection of professional football shirts.
Maddison previously said of the setup: “I think when you look around and you see the garden, it's everything I probably dreamed of as a young boy.”
Maddison, 28, has posted videos from the field to his Instagram profile in the past, with girlfriend Alexa Kennedy seen taking a series of penalties.
Anyone hoping to buy the 4,000 sq ft property via a mortgage would face eye-watering repayments of around £14,000 per month.
