James Maddison will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury, Tottenham has confirmed Ange Postecoglou.
The midfielder of England curved off during the first stage of Spurs' Europa League semi-final against Bodo/Glimt, in which he scored the second goal of a 3-1 victory.
Maddison has been one of the striking artists of Tottenham during a difficult season for the club and registered the joint target involvement in all competitions (22, level with son Heung-Min and Dominic Solanke).
However, he will not continue to play this term in what another blow is for Postecoglou, who is also without Lucas Bergvall for the rest of the campaign due to an ankle injury.

“Madders has adjusted his knee in the first stage. He is out, he will miss the rest of the season,” said the Spurs boss reporters prior to Thursday's second stage to Bodo/Glimt.
“It is more disappointing for him than anything, because he has been a large catalyst for us. He is missing, but that has been a constant of our season about these things. We will [just need to] Overcoming that. “
Tottenham is 16th in the Premier League, but is eligible for next season's Champions League if they continue and pick up the Europa League trophy.
If they continue to the last, the side of Postecoglou will be confronted with Manchester United of Athletic Bilbao in the showpiece on May 21, with the Red Devils that lead 3-0 from the first stage of that draw.
