Six weeks after their light heavyweight title fight, the 'War of Words' between Magomed Ankalaev and Alex Pereira already reaches the boiling point.
After months, if not years, to call the popular KO artist; Magomed Ankalaev finally gets the chance to fight 'Patan' for championship gold in the main event of UFC 313.
It will be an intense structure of that light heavyweight title conflict, in which the Russian had repeatedly accused Alex Pereira of diving as the number one competition.

Magomed Ankalaev accuses Alex Pereira van Liegen about incoming title fight
Speaking earlier this week against Ariel Helwani, UFC Light claimed heavyweight superstar Alex Pereira that he was the one who pushed the promotion to have the Ankalaev fight before March 8.
'[Ankalaev] Says that the company tells me what to do, but I am the one who asked for the fight, “explained the popular Brazilian and added:” I am the one who came there and said that I now want to fight Ankalaev. “
Those comments certainly did not sit well with the 20-1-1 Russian, who went to social media to hit Pereira when he repeated the legendary line of Khabib Nurmagomedov.
“This is number one bull **** that he tweeted a month ago. He fights someone else. The UFC told him that he is fighting me now, he wants to make it the way he wanted on March 8, you get it. “
Ankalaev followed that post with: “Don't lie, you didn't ask me, it was a dead end”, before he sent an ominous warning to the popular Brazilian: “I'm going to eat your heart.”
UFC 313 will represent the second title fight of Ankalaev's career, which went to a draw against Jan Bachowicz in December 2022.
Since that fight he had a no match against Johnny Walker, scored a KO victory on the flashy Brazilian in their Rematch a few months later, and the most recently achieved a unanimous decision win in Aleksandar Rakic.
Pereira has stated that he would like to emulate his title run of 2024 with three more championships in 2025; 'Patan' sent Jiri Prochazka, Jamahal Hill and Khalil Rountree JR on the way to winning UFC 2024 'Fighter of the Year'.

Alex Pereira vs Magomed Ankalaev Koppen A solid UFC 313 card
Alex Pereira vs Magomed Ankalaev is the icing on top of the UFC 313 cake; With that event planned for Saturday 8 March in the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Fans can look forward to pure, genuine violence in the Co-Main event when Hooker and Justin Gaethje Throwdown in what is expected to become a potential 'fight of the year' participant.
Although it is not a title fight, that lightweight fight on five rounds has been raised with 'The hangman' that justifies the movement by teasing: “I think the UFC wants someone to die.”
The only other main map competition announced for UFC 313 is a reed weight match between Amanda Lemos and Iasmin Lucindo – with the following prelims also confirmed.

- Alex Morono vs Carlos Leal
- Brunno Ferreira vs Armen Petrosyan
- Chris Gutierrez vs Jean Matsumoto
- Djorden Santos vs Ozzy Diaz
There are also reports that Bobby Green vs Mauricio Ruffy, as well as Bruno Silva vs Joshua van, have also been added to the map; But still have to be officially announced by the promotion.
