Magomed Ankalaev really impressed a colleague UFC champion with his great performance against Alex Pereira on UFC 313.

Tom Aspinall says that Magomed Ankalaev used his grab against Alex Pereira
In the aftermath of UFC 313, Tom Aspinall went to YouTube to post a breakdown of Magomed Ankalaev vs Alex Pereira.
During his analysis, the powerhouse was stunned by the tactic of Dagestani and complimented him with his fight IQ.
The UFC Interim Heavyweight Champion explained: “This is a really good game plan from Ankalaev. What he does is, even when he misses the Takedowns, he uses the grab, just standing, just to get the arms and Pereira a little overwhelming, physically and mentally. He just hangs on him.
“I am sure Pereira is a great grappler, but as far as I know, he only started to struggle at the end of thirty. If you start to struggle in the 1930s, or your late 1920s, and you are against a man like Ankalaev, who is struggling all his life, you will never have the condition of a man who is struggling all his life.
“This is what Ankalaev is trying to do now. He tries to unpack his arms, and it works. See how stiff Pereira looks like herself in second place. “
