Since his controversial draw with Jan Blachowicz for UFC gold, Magomed Ankalaev has done everything he can to get another shot at the title he so desperately craves.
With back-to-back wins over good opposition, the gifted Dagestani is now, for many, the only option for Alex Pereira.
However, it appears the Brazilian may be going in a different direction, with the power puncher tweeting: “It won't be Ankalaev!”
Unsurprisingly, this social media post caught the attention of his rival, with Ankalaev firing shots at the champion.

The gifted grappler refused to accept what 'Poatan' said and replied: “Goodbye, boy.”
In a separate tweet, Ankalaev boldly claimed: “Alex Pereira, you are going to do as you are told. You are an employee. See you soon.”

Now that he's proven his skills in the cage beyond doubt, it makes sense that Ankalaev is confident he has the minerals to put Pereira in his place.
However, not everyone is so convinced that the sambo practitioner would walk away from that fight with the belt around his waist.
