There is not much higher praise that a UFC hunter can hope for than that of all-time-great Jager Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Magomed Ankalaev received this by beating Alex Pereira in the UFC 313 main event to protect the light heavyweight throne. After his victory over UFC 313, Khabib Nurmagomedov Ankalaev congratulated in a message about X, with the text: “Congratulations brother [Ankalaev] You have made history. It was a great achievement against a very heavy opponent. “
Ankalaev answered in a message on March 9 and thanked Nurmagomedov.

Nurmagomedov pioneered Russian martial arts and inspired many hunters from Eastern Europe, especially those from the Caukasus Mountains. Nurmagomedov retired in 2020 after a victory over Justin Gaethje, and continued his legacy substitute by his students Islam Makhachev and Usman Nurmagomedov.
