Magomed Ankalaev was welcomed by hundreds of fans as UFC champion in Makhachkala last night by hundreds of fans.
Ankalaev won the light-heavyweight title in the main event of UFC 313 on Saturday evening and put an end to the dominant reign of Alex Pereira on top of the division. For the entire structure and most of the aftermath, he played the heel with American fans who have embraced the former champion more.
However, he was considerably more popular when he hit Russian soil on the Russian soil after his return and was busy by Dagestani supporters.
Magomed Ankalaev Enjoy Helden Welcome during UFC 313 Homecoming
Magomed Ankalaev had been preparing for months for his fight with Alex Pereira and took in Las Vegas in recent weeks. As such, he is away from his house in Makhachkala for a long time and he was not a world champion when he left.
After an impressive five -round victory that saw him win on all three score cards on Saturday evening, he quickly returned to Russia. There he was met by hundreds of fans on the street who woke him back as a triumphant champion.
He contributes to the legacy of Dagestani world champions in large organizations that include Khabib Nurmagomedov and Islam Makhachev. Even PFL champions Usman Nurmagomedov and Gadzhi Rabadanov come from the region, with many more top hunters en route.
Magomed Ankalaev is one of the largest heels in the UFC
Despite the fact that he seems to be a relatively calm person, away from a presence on social media that he can or may not even dictate, Magomed Ankalaev is not a favorite with fans. There is a conviction that he is a 'boring' hunter who is almost exclusively based on where he comes from, and he played the heel for last weekend's fight.

Despite the surpassing of Pereira with several intervals and even almost almost opposed in the second round, a few minutes from CLINCH against the cage are angry fans on UFC 313. He has since become a new villain in the sport, with supporters in America who would like to see him losing his belt.
It is a similar story for many Dagestani hunters, whose styles are more focused on grinding struggling heavy victories instead of having fan-friendly stand-up fights. But Ankalaev tried to win the fight on the feet on Saturday and never even scored a Takedown in 12 efforts.
