The number one competition finally gets his second shot at UFC Gold when he enters the Octagon on 8 March in Las Vegas.
Magomed Ankalaev has sent many warnings to Alex Pereira during the long structure of their upcoming meeting in the T-Mobile Arena.
While Pereira has records records established by Jon Jones after reaching dominance in the light heavyweight division, the Russian is right on his heels.
Ankalaev even has his own status of Jones in sight, but to achieve this performance, he has to beat one of the most dangerous strikers ever in the octhoek.
If there is one thing that we know for sure about both men, it is that they are incredible confidence in leaving the combat capital of the world with the 205-pound gold wrapped around their waist.

Magomed Ankalaev has proven to be an effective striker
Magomed Ankalaev shown during his recent victories over Aleksandar Rakic and Johnny Walker that he is much more than just a competent striker.
Alex Pereira could put his constant pressure on the back foot where he can make the champion uncomfortable, but there is one problem with that.
'Patan' has made his name of beating and switching off other dangerous strikers, so it is not to be denied that the path of the least resistance would be to get it out of his comfort zone.
Although he could try to keep his hand hidden, his recent fights show that Ankalaev will get a striking competition with the champion that can be a dangerous role of the dice.
