Maguire appears to call Havertz ‘CHEAT’ in Man Utd and Arsenal penalty brawl

ARSENAL vs Manchester United descended into chaos like the good old days, with a colossal failure.

Tempers flared between the two fierce rivals during the FA Cup match at the Emirates.

After Bruno Fernandes was shown a yellow card for launching his boot in anger, only for Diogo Dalot to see red for a second yellow, the Red Devils were furious when Andy Madley awarded Arsenal a penalty.

Kai Havertz went down softly after a tussle with Harry Maguire in the area with 20 minutes remaining.

The defender stuck out his arm as Havertz tried to squeeze through before the Arsenal forward fell and Madley controversially pointed to the spot.

As there was no VAR to check the incident, the decision could not be overturned.

And then the two teams got into a major scandal.

Raging Maguire was clearly apoplectic that Havertz went down so easily and went after him as the fight unfolded – with some viewers convinced he was calling the German a “cheat”.

But when the former United captain tried to protest to Havertz, Gabriel got involved and shoved Maguire.

Havertz and Manuel Ugarte then collided.

The pair both ended up on the deck in chaotic scenes with replays showing the Uruguayan seemingly poking his head first into his opponent.

Madley kept an eye on the chaos and eventually booked Maguire, Gabriel and Havertz in the aftermath.

There was further drama when the match finally got going again as Altay Bayindir flung himself across to save Martin Odegaard's penalty.

In the first half, Fernandes risked his fourth red card of the season when he threw his boot twice as Madley failed to award a free-kick despite being clipped by Gabriel Jesus on the edge of the penalty area.

He was booked, but crucially remained on the field and was ready to score the opening goal in style.

But the match turned when Dalot came on for Mikel Merino to get his marching orders as Gabriel equalized just two minutes later.
