Bayern Munich has withdrawn a contract offer to Joshua Kimmich, so it is said that Liverpool and Manchester City may be ready to discuss.
Bayern has been in discussion with the German international Kimmich for some time. The versatile 30-year-old has spent the last decade in Munich after participating in RB Leipzig, winning eight Bundesliga titles and one Champions League.
Kimmich, who has 97 caps for Germany, was connected to a Premier League switch last summer. In the end he remained the time, but could be an attractive prospect as a free agent.
Liverpool cooled on a January relocation for Kimmich, apparently because of the shape of Ryan Gravenberch, while City moved to Nico Gonzalez in the same window. Kimmich can play on both right back and in the central midfield, so a summer movement of both teams cannot be excluded.
According to Bild, Bayern Chiefs Kimmich told that the offer that was previously made for him is no longer valid. He was said to have been a slight increase in his current wage of slightly less than £ 320,000 a week, and insisted on an improved deal in the light of his versions this season.
Kimmich has always been present in the Champions League this term and helps Bayern to sneak past Celtic to set up a round of 16 meeting with Bayer Leverkusen. He had also played every minute in the competition before injury struck the previous time -out against Eintracht Frankfurt, with Bayern eight points free from defending champion and closest challengers Leverkusen in the rankings.
Bild reports that Bayern Chiefs spoke about the future of Kimmich during a quarterly meeting of the Supervisory Board on Monday. It is said there that they have excluded an increased offer and withdrew the person on the table, although the same publication indicates that the door is not completely closed on a new deal.
Liverpool and City can both be a right back cover in the summer, so that may leave an opening for Kimmich to play more often in the position he occupied for Germany on Euro 2024. Roden defender Trent Alexander-Arnold is out of contract in June and was tried in June in June and a few different things tried to te Juichten.
Matheus Nunes got the nod on right back against Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday, while Rico Lewis and Abdukodir Khusanov are one of the others to play there since the Exit van Walker. City won 1-0 in North London, where Erling Haaland got the goal, and manager Pep Guardiola was full of praise for Khusanov after the Uzbek excelled in the right-sided center-back role.
“It is not easy to overcome after what happened to Chelsea after five minutes, but he was calm and he treated it,” Guardiola said. “The matches he recently played, he really, was really good.”
