Man City 0-4 Tottenham: Pep’s side suffer 5-game losing streak, Mddison scores 2

PEP GUARDIOLA lost for the first time as a manager for the fifth time in a row as Tottenham dismantled Manchester City 4-0 at the Etihad.

Match report

After early pressure from City, Maddison gave Spurs the lead when a sensational pass from Dejan Kulusevski allowed him to finish from close range.

And the England playmaker had another in the 20th minute when Son Heung-min slotted it through and Maddison lifted it delightfully over Ederson.

The Spurs experienced the remainder of the first half completely untroubled by Man City.

A response from the hosts was expected after the break, but it was Tottenham who picked up where they left off.

In another sweeping counter-attack, Kulusevski found Dominic Solanke and the striker put the ball back for Pedro Porro, who swept home.

And Spurs added a fourth in stoppage time when substitutes Timo Werner and Brennan Johnson combined to slot the Welshman into an empty net.

It is Man City's first home league defeat since November 2022, when they lost 2-1 to Brentford.
