With speculation rife that Alejandro Garnaacho from Manchester United could soon go to Stamford Bridge, one of the latest recruits from Manchester City has discussed another Chelsea -Zeidwit
Rayan Cherki from Manchester City is very thinking of Chelsea Target and former Lyon teammate Malick Fofana. The blues are linked to a large number of wing players this window, including the Wantaway Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United.
The side of Enzo Maresca is looking for a broad player this summer, after Jadon Sancho had returned to Old Trafford after the end of his loan, without a permanent deal. In January, rumors were erupting that Red Devils star Garnacho was on their way to West-London, and while his agents were even seen at Stamford Bridge in the midst of alleged conversations, the 20-year-old remained.
With the transfer window open again, hints have fallen that Garnacho will search new, whereby his personal photographer even suggests via social media that he has played for United for the 'last time'.
A move to Chelsea could, however, rely on the blues that do not pursue other goals, and Lyon's Fofana is now reportedly on their radar and has received a glowing assessment by former teammate and New City Signing Cherki.
Fofana arrived in Ligue 1 of Ghent last year. At only 20 hours he registered 11 goals and six assists this campaign, which turned out to be particularly productive in the Europa League, in which he found the back of the net six times.
The Belgian talent has attracted the attention of not only the blues, but according to L'Equipe, United and Nottingham Forest, although the city area is probably not its desired destination. He is appreciated at £ 42.5 million.
In 2024, when Fofana was volatile in the first team of Lyon, Cherki, who completed a transfer of £ 30 million to the Etihad this summer, said strongly over his pear.
