According to reports, Manchester City has reached a first agreement with Bayer Leverkusen with regard to the transfer of Florian Wirtz.
Sky Sports journalist Lyall Thomas reports that City and Leverkusen have reached an oral agreement about the basic framework of the deal. Manchester City is aware that Leverkusen, compared to their Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich, would rather sell to them.
Bayern also pushes hard to sign Wirtz and remain convinced that they can convince him to participate. However, Wirtz still has to make a final decision about his future.
