Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola loves Newcastle United Defender Tino Livramento.
The 22-year-old, who came to Newcastle from Southampton in 2023 in a deal of up to £ 40 million, made 37 performances in the Premier League last season.
He has left for his current contract for three years and Newcastle wants to keep him.
City therefore knows that bringing the former Chelsea youth to the Etihad can be expensive.
Guardiola has other names on his wish list and the city has accelerated conversations with wolves with regard to left back Rayan Ait-Nouri.
The plan is to have the Algeria International signed before the Club World Cup starts later this month. Ait-Nouri has told City that he wants to participate.
In the meantime, City opened conversations with Lyon last week about a deal for midfielder Rayan Cherki.
Guardiola, who brings in former Liverpool coach Pep Libnders as his new assistant, gave the green light for the city to offer on Cherki after conversations with the 21-year-old.
Cherki is appreciated about £ 35 million after scoring 12 goals in 44 games this season, including two against Manchester United in the Europa League.
He was also part of the France U23 team that won a silver medal at last summer's Olympic Games. Cherki is not yet covered by France at Senior International level, but he recently received his first call-up and was able to make his debut in the semi-final collision of Thursday UEFA Nations League with Spain.
City has also proposed an offer of approximately £ 50 million for AC Milan who attacks midfielder Tijjani Reijners.
