Manchester City is a compromise agreement offered in their attempt to land Porto midfielder Nico Gonzalez.
The Portuguese club remains that the £ 50 million clause in the contract of the 23-year-old Spaniard must be fully reached after rejecting the supply of the champions of £ 41.5 million.
But with Gonzalez wants to move to Etihad, the blues have told that Porto will accept a package of easy-bensable add-ons, so that Porto gets their asking price.
Porto will only £ 28.4 million banking if the city activates the buy-out after he agrees to give Barcelona a reduction of 40 percent of the profit on every figure above the £ 7 million compensation they have the Spanish club for Gonzalez paid in 2023.
Gestifute, the company run by super-agent Jorge Mendes, would also be entitled to a part of the £ 4.3 million deal. Porto just cashed Galeno after the sale of the Brazilian winger to the Saudi Pro League club Al Ahli for £ 45 million.
Club president Andre Villas-Boas has to deal with negotiations with City and coach Martin Anselmi allowed Gonzalez to mention in his team for the game in Rio Ave tonight.
But Anselmi has admitted that it can be a risk to play the midfielder given his desire to move to Manchester. And Mirror Sport now understands that he has left Porto camp prior to a deadline -blaring movement.
City spent big during the January window, where Pep Guardiola tries to reverse their alarming slide. Omar Marmoush, Abdukodir Khusanov and Vorror Reis have all signed, with Gonzalez to bring their expenses to almost £ 200 million.
And the news of the potential arrival of Gonzalez comes less than 24 hours after their chastice defeat against Arsenal. City is equated with the Emirates, before being blown away 5-1 by the Gunners.
“I only regret the last 25 minutes, we have forgotten to do what we have to do, what we have done for 65/70 minutes,” Guardiola explained. “Of course it is a difficult game that starts in this stadium, against that team in the first minutes it happened many times this season.
“But after 10/15 minutes I think we have taken the game and really, real, real, really, really, really well played and we are there after 1-1 and good momentum that we pass to make the transition with Omar [Marmoush] And a deflection and the third goal.
“But then we continued to do what you have to do in terms of defensive and [be a] A little more patient. And if you play that way, they can run and of course at 3-1 they are comfortable, it's more difficult.
“I regret the last 15/20 minutes, the rest was really a good game in front of us. It is hard to understand when you see the result, but this is my feeling.
“It happened all season, we give away too many things, we know that this cannot happen, it happened.”
