Manchester City may be willing to discharge one of their winter arrival to make way for their last £ 42 million toy.
The side of Pep Guardiola has increased £ 180 million on five new stars in the last transfer window in an attempt to revive their wilting title defense.
Omar Marmoush, Nico Gonzalez and Abdukodir Khusanov are directly parachuted in the side while teenagers Vitor Reis and Juma Bah wait for their Premier League arch.
Argentinian Wonderkid Claudio Echeverri also came through the door when he was unveiled in February – 13 months after he was signed for £ 12.5 million from River Plate, where he was immediately sent back until this year.
Echeverri, 19, has trained with the champions, but has to earn less than a few minutes.
And Calcio Mercato reports that City could force the young person to be on loan to Lazio to sort their move for the center of Mario Gila.
Gila, 24, is said to have drawn up a queue of top European parties with their wallets, including Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, PSG and Real Madrid.
Lazio owner Claudio Lotito has beaten a price tag of £ 42 million on the defender, although half of the reimbursement received owed to Madrid, who developed him.
La Gazzetta Dello Sport also reported that Echeverri was seen in a restaurant near the Lazio training center.
Gila was part of the Spanish team for the international break, called as a replacement for the wounded Pau Cubarsi, although he did not make his debut.
After debuting for Madird in 2021-22, he moved to Lazio three summers ago and was established at the Serie A Giants.
In the meantime, attacking midfielder Echeverri has been advertised in some circles as the 'next Lionel Messi' after his performance on the river plate.
He impressed them, made 48 performances in the past two seasons, scored four goals and added eight assists.
The stock of the 19-year-old rose further when he was the driving force during Argentina under the age of 20 to the final at the South American Championships in January.
Echeverri took care of the side and yielded six goals and registered three assists during the tournament.
In February, City's director or Football Txiki Begiristain greeted him as “one of the best talents that came from South America in recent years,” but he has not been able to break up the field so far.
After speaking his revelation, Echeverri, who wrote a contract until 2028, expressed his joy.
“I can't tell you how excited I am to be here in Manchester and finally be able to call myself a player in Manchester City,” he said.
'Football has been my life and my dream was to play for one of the best teams in Europe. Today I am closer to that dream.
'Manchester City is one of the best teams in the world. Not only they win trophies, they play the game so beautiful. They are an example for everyone – they show people how they can play football in the best way.
“My focus is now on working as hard as I can in the training to show the manager and his staff that I am good enough to be part of this team.”
