Manchester City supporters hilariously mocked their side's dismal form this season with a three-word chant during their match against Leicester City.
City, winners of six of the past seven Premier League titles, have sensationally tasted victory just once in their past 13 top-flight games, losing nine.
As a result, they fell 12 points behind leaders Liverpool on Sunday's trip to King Power and were in danger of missing out on Champions League football.
But with Pep Guardiola doubling down on his commitment to the cause and insisting he will keep fighting, the mood among match-goers remains surprisingly high.
That was proven after City took the lead against the Foxes in the first half.
Winger Savinho scored his first goal for the club after pouncing on Jakub Stolarczyk's defense and sweeping the rebound high into the roof of the net.
After riding off to celebrate with his teammates, the end audibly broke out into a chant that even made Sky Sports commentator Seb Hutchinson giggle.
To the tune of 'Football's Coming Home', a hit long associated with England at major tournaments, they sang: 'We stay awake, we stay. City remains standing.'
This was, of course, a not-so-subtle dig at City's woes this season, although Guardiola will hope a result against Leicester will spark a better run.
Before the match he said: 'Sometimes you expect it to be sooner or easier to fix, but sometimes you need more time and I don't give up. I want to be here.
'I want to do it [fix City’s form].
'Now we go to Leicester, that will be difficult. We will try to play a good game and the players will be ready.”
Encouraged by the continued efforts of his players, Guardiola added: “I see the team, the spirit, how [they] training, how focused they are.
'Of course I want it, everyone wants it. I don't want to disappoint my people, in terms of the club, the fans or the people who love this club, but we give them this [poor] results.'
