Manchester City has held further conversations about a £ 55 million for AC Milan Midfielder Tijjani Reijnders.
The 26-year-old Dutch international has improved his reputation since he came to Milan from AZ Alkmaar in 2023 and scored 19 goals in 104 games for the Italian side.
City also wants Lyon's £ 30m rated midfielder Rayan Cherki, who likes to be moving.
Cherki, 21, scored in both legs of Lyon's chaotic Europa League quarterfinals defeat by Manchester United last month.
If both deals are progressing, it will evoke doubts about a movement for Morgan Gibbs-White from Nottingham Forest.
City is looking for a new midfielder this summer because of the approaching departure of club legend Kevin De Bruyne.
De Bruyne will end his decade long stay in the Etihad on 30 June when his current contact is going.
In the meantime, Milan and Bos are among the clubs that love Stadsstarlet James McATEE, as well as Bayer Leverkusen, Frankfurt and Leipzig.
McATEE, 22, scored seven goals for the city in the season, despite the start of only nine games.
City is also interested in wolves that Rayan Ait-Nouri left behind.
