Manchester City are keeping tabs on Real Valladolid defender Juma Bah but could face competition from Premier League rivals, according to a report.
The talented teenager is believed to have attracted the attention of several clubs and City have even been tipped to make a move in the January transfer window.
Sierra Leone centre-back Bah impressed in his debut season in LaLiga after being loaned from AIK Freetong to his homeland in August.
The Sun claim Newcastle are also interested in the youngster, who is 6ft 4in tall, while Everton and Crystal Palace are said to admire him.
Bah, 18, has made seven league appearances so far this season.
He started his youth career with AIK Freetong in 2021 and started attracting attention during a loan spell with Sierra Leone National Premier League team Freetonians SLIFA.
After being spotted by a scout from Valladolid, he was loaned out last summer.
He was initially expected to play for the B side, but he was soon moved up to the senior line-up and made his debut in a 0–0 draw against Real Sociedad.
City, meanwhile, could look to address their defensive crisis in the winter window.
Bafflingly, Guardiola's side are without a win in their last six games in all competitions, conceding a whopping 17 goals during that horror run.
'I don't like it at all. I don't sleep as well as I do when I win every match,” Guardiola said.
'Right now I want to be closer to the players. My hugs and arms are closer to them because I know they are suffering.
'I know they're thinking: “Oh my God, how could we not beat Feyenoord? Why didn't we score when we had the chances against Spurs?”
“At good times I have to be more aggressive to avoid complacency, but at the moment they want to do it but we are not finding the right way.
'What can I do, blame them? Absolutely not. This will pass – nothing lasts forever.”
