MANCHESTER CITY are eyeing a double strike for Eintracht Frankfurt striker Omar Marmoush and Atalanta midfielder Ederson.
Pep Guardiola wants to spend this month reviving his season.
City are sixth in the Prem and are in danger of missing out on a Champions League place.
Egyptian star Marmoush, 25, would add firepower to the champions' struggling front line.
Boss Guardiola believes Ederson can help City cope without key figure Rodri.
Marmoush – also linked to Arsenal and Liverpool – has scored 18 goals in 24 games for Frankfurt this season.
They are third in the Bundesliga so they are reluctant to sell now.
Nottingham Forest had two bids for Marmoush – up to £28m – rejected in the summer and he is now valued at £50m.
Serie A leaders Atalanta are said to want a similar fee for Ederson.
Guardiola believes the 25-year-old Brazilian would add much-needed steel in midfield.
He is keen to fill the void left by Ballon d'Or winner Rodri.
The Spaniard faces a battle to return this season after his knee injury.
