Man City veteran Gundogan: We know why it’s going wrong

The Citizens lost again in the Champions League this season, leaving them adrift in the top eight.

City were beaten 2-0 away from home by Italian giants Juventus, with Dusan Vlahovic and Weston Mckennie scoring the goals.

“We know exactly what is going wrong and we know the reasons,” Gundogan told reporters after the match.

“Yet we actually don't play badly in most parts of the matches. We play good football and create chances. We just miss a score and if you give away one chance and they score, it's not that easy to come back and bounce back.

“I have the feeling that it is so clear to ourselves what is going wrong. It's about finding the switch to turn the tide. Although we are not achieving results at the moment, I do not feel that we are far off. That's my personal feeling right now.

“As long as we don't find the click, it will be difficult. Each individual player must ask himself how he can do better, how he can sacrifice more and how he can contribute to the team so that we can move forward together.

“More than that, you have to do the simple things as well as possible. Fast, clean and smooth. This is how we regain confidence. Doing the simple things will give you confidence back. It feels like we always do the wrong things at the crucial moments of this moment.”
