Man U hold talks with Bayern over move for Tel as potential Rashford replacement

Manchester United has also held conversations with Bayern Munich about a deal for Mathys Tel.

The Frenchman is very sought after this month this season out of grace under Vincent Kompany.

He rejected a move to Tottenham on Friday after the North Londen side had reached a £ 50 million deal with Bayern.

United is also interested in Tel and try to beat the heavy competition to land the 19-year-old, with Chelsea and Arsenal under clubs who asked about the attacker.

The Red Devils explore a number of options with Ruben Amorim who wants to strengthen his attack before Monday's deadline while Marcus Rashford closes a loan switch to Aston Villa.

United recognizes the need for a more experienced addition and Christopher Nunku from Chelsea remains a possibility, although he prefers a permanent step of Stamford Bridge.

Villa has also continued to inquire about Tel, who has not excluded that he will stay in Bayern if he gets more minutes.

Tel has been a Bayern player since August 2022 when he arrived from Rennes for £ 25 million.

He scored 16 goals in his first 83 performances for the Bundesliga Giants, but spent a lot of time on the couch.

Tel seemed to say goodbye to Bayern after he had received a surprise start in their Midweek Champions League victory in Slovan Bratislava.

However, the teenager was omitted outside the team for the victory of Saturday Bundesliga at Holstein Kiel.
