Man United confirm pre-season tour of the United States to face three PL sides

Manchester United has confirmed that they will return to the US this summer to the US to be confronted against West Ham, Bournemouth and Everton opposite a Premier League series.

United will be located in Chicago, where they will be confronted opposite Bournemouth on July 30 after they stopped the Round-Robin tournament against West Ham in New Jersey on July 26, before they end up against Atlanta on 3 August.

It will be the third time in a row that United has established the last two summers in San Diego and Los Angeles in San Diego and Los Angeles.

Mail Sport exclusively revealed in January that United would headline and watched Chicago as a potential basis. The official announcement was delivered live on NBC, the gastolcaster for the competition, during the half-time coverage of Sunday's Premier League match against Arsenal in Old Trafford.

The technical director of United, Jason Wilcox, said: 'The weeks prior to a new Premier League season is always an exciting time for both Manchester United players and fans, and we enjoy spending that period in the US, benefit from training facilities and stadiums of world-class and stadiums.

“Playing other teams from the Premier League offers the players the opportunity to get valuable playing time against top opposition, and for our passionate fans to see some of the most famous teams in world football play live in three of the most iconic stadiums in North America.”

United Legend Andy Cole joined the NBC broadcast and said: 'The facilities in the US offer an environment of world class for players to prepare for the coming season and tied a group. Playing three Premier League parties, in three iconic stadiums, will be a great advertisement for the quality of the competition.

“United enjoys a huge following in the US and I know that fans will be incredibly enthusiastic about the prospect of watching and being busy with the team when they return this summer.”

Tickets will go on Thursday 13 March from 12 a.m. et/ 11 a.m. ct/ 4 p.m. UK, with general sale from 10 a.m. et/ 9 am CT/ 2 p.m. UK on Friday, March 14. Fans can register their interest in access to pre-sale on www.premierleague.com/summerseries.
